Hello everyone

Here is a problem that has been bugging me for a couple of months now and is effecting several of my sites running our foxpro applications.

Basically from our foxpro apps (vfp5 and vfp6) using ole and dde (system switch in place to toggle between) we pull an rtf document into word as part of an automated document production routine.

This has always worked fine for years.

However we have a problem that occurs mainly on Windows XP machines running Word2000 (machines are all high spec P4 128mb+ 1+Ghz). After a period of document production word starts to take 30+ seconds to close (after the user has finished editing) this continues until the user reboots and then they will be okay for a while. We have attempted to bring machines up to date with all latest service packs etc but no Joy. Problem only happens when brining up word through FoxPro if you open normally and exit word closes immediately.

Anyone out there had simular experiences?
