Dragan;

No “real American” should speak out against anything the President of the United States says or does. A few politicians and the media have decided that over 70% of all “Americans” are for the war against Iraq. Funny thing – I have not found anyone who agrees with war. Perhaps we have regional differences and after all you know how U.C. Berkeley has dissolved the minds of all of us on the West Coast of the United States.

I thought until recently that George W. would be reelected President, no matter how much he does to destroy the economy and the world. With democracy we have many strange events and after all the majority rules. Some times. However, I do not think there will be a world the next time we have a scheduled Presidential election. The American public will get what it deserves.

Now to simply look at what is going on with Iraq consider the following information given us by our federal administration:

1. Iraq has weapons of mass destruction.

2. Trained arms inspectors cannot find the weapons but we keep telling the inspectors “we know where they are” but we neglect to convey anything further.

3. We will attack Iraq to depose its president and administration and remove the weapons of mass destruction.

4. Last week it was announced the reason the weapons could not be found is “they are stored in Libya”.

Based upon the above information I would suggest we attack Libya. If we are concerned with ridding the world of weapons of mass destruction this seems like a logical first step.

We could easily send one nuclear attack submarine, which could launch enough ICBM’s to destroy every Arab nation from a distance of 4000 miles at sea. We could then pull out of South Korea, as they do not want us there anyway. Japan and China would be nervous but no problem. Launch a few ICBM’s at Korea – north and south, to resolve the political controversy.

What about Iran? Remember they are not an Arab nation. Well, we have plenty of ICBM’s to go around. If you do not agree with president Bush you will be destroyed and this is a clear and simple policy. We do not need diplomacy when we have technology and belligerence on our side.

We are told to use plastic sheet and duct tape to protect our families from attack. Please be serious. In Switzerland homes have shelters, which are built to protect against nuclear and other types of attack. Somehow I think the Swiss are more serious about survival as I do not think a 1.0 mil thick sheet of plastic will do much to save your life.

Politicians know little and should be quiet. Instead they give advice and pass laws, which affect the lives of many. In a way that is good as that gives them a purpose to exist and they can point back at their “record” at re-election time. “Why, I saved the nation with plastic sheet and duct tape”!

To live in a civilized society we have to give up a great deal. Regardless of the political system we enjoy we are slaves to the system we live under.

When you get down to it with a dictatorship you have an advantage – you know what the bastard will do until he dies or is relieved from office. With the republican form of democracy as practiced in the United States you know what the bastard will do until he dies or is relieved from office. Not too much difference except in our case a president is limited to two terms in office but I am sure under the correct circumstances that could be extended.
