Hi Jim.

Thanks for your help .. I agree with you about the .5 not working ..

Houston Brennan wrote a VFP based Win32 notification class for this that works really well under 1 second. I've now tried that and from some basic tests it appears to allow me to get sub-1 second responses...

I believe he is going to post his approach shortly ...
