hello all again;

I have a perl script that uses a text file as a lookup/reference table.
the user enters a control number on the home page, and based on what that
control number was, the user is sent to that particular web page. The problem that I am having is that if the user enters lower case, or any part of the control number in lower case, then the record for that client is not found. If I could convert the users input to all uppercase, then my problem is solved... however, with all the info out there on the web on Perl, I cant find any way to convert the case!!! Please help!!!!
