Good point. I almost said "or a programmer will have to remember to create the cursor every time they use the view."

I didn't think of a controlling class. I've never used classes to manage views or cursors. I think that's built into some commercial frameworks. MaxFrame probably chose not to, to give you the freedom to do it on your own or not. (Pardon me for speaking for you, Drew.)
