>>The obvious lesson learned is "keep the media strictly controlled or you'll lose at home".

>Actually, the obvious lesson that Europeans should have learned after Hitler invaded Poland is that appeasment does not mean peace.
I fail to get the connection between this and the paragraph you respond to, but then I'm insane, that doesn't matter.
Or were you actually giving a late response on the Israel case?
>>>Are you saying that the US military deliberately attacked civilians?
>>
>>Yes. I have seen enough of that while my country was bombed. Cluster bombs thrown to a marketplace, footage from a Tommahawk missile aiming at a civilian train (150+ dead) as it crosses a bridge, a pedestrian bridge bombed on a Sunday noon when it's full of people etc etc.
>
>You are quite insane.
I never said I was normal. But I still saw what I saw.
In a way, nurturing one's own insanity was a way of keeping as much normalcy as possible during the Milosevic years. And thanks for helping him stay in power - the bombing bought him an extra year.
If Saddam is attacked now, and somehow survives the attack, the whole country of Iraq would be with him for at least few years more.
