LOL

Another what if...

What if all employees at MS worked all dressed the same and wear paper bags to cover their head. Give all the departments the same amount of workers. All marketing departments get the same amount of money and let them do whatever they want with it.

This could be the only fair chance for VFP to get known.

Eventually VFP would be in a pretty good position and even if some bosses got mad because of the success of VFP there would be no way to stop it because they could'nt know who'd be responsible for such a success.

>What would happen if there was no marketing department for VFP? Just let the MSDN subscriptions and upgrades do the “talking”. Microsoft could save money on salaries, office space, utilities, benefits and who knows what else? Sounds like a good plan to me. The money saved could be put into the .NET Marketing Initiate and perhaps Microsoft could at last “get it right”. I am sure the 25 cents saved would make all the difference in the world in the success of .NET. :)

>>>To be honest, I hate to say anything derogatory about MSFT's VFP marketing efforts right now (give me some time), because I just started using VFP8 and I'm really happy with the product's improvements. However, I am still looking for the gui use of the new tools like cursoradapter and the xml stuff (like Delphi has) instead of only pure code examples...for instance, in Delphi you can drop this stuff on a form and gui properties pop up (or by right-clicking on it and selecting properties) to be configured.
