I too suspected a hardware problem, but with nothing in the event logs, and no device errors or misconfigs, ya gotta look elsewhere.

I may be an old fool, but I've always stuck with the "RAM + 12 MB" axiom for NT page files and have never seen a disk this distressed. Whether that applies to Win2k Server I'll leave to someone else to answer.

So I'd also say that something seems amiss in the subject machine's usage of cache too.
