If I recall, there are MANY UN countries that agree with the U.S. and signed documents stating so. Regarless, what good is the UN if it has no power or will to enforce its resolutions? There were many governments over the world that fell in the past for the very same reason. Allowing countries to do as they will regardless of UN resolutions does NOT stengthen the UN - it does the opposite.

I am not proposing that countries do as they will. What needs to be done urgently, though, is to strengthen the UN. I consider this of utmost priority for the safety of the world. The UN is the closest we have to a world government. If it is not ideal in some aspects, then it is time to do something about this.
