I've got a prog that deletes cdx files and then adds the indexes back to the tables in a given directory. I've put suspends in to make sure that it is actually deleting the cdx files.
However when I browse the cdx files in explorer after I have run the program the date created is the same as it was before I deleted the file.

can anyone shed any light on this? I am using xp. Does xp cache the files and then restore them or something. The only reason I am deleting them is that delete tag all doesn't seem to delete the cdx and sometimes doesn't fix corrupted indexes.
