I am supporting an application with some rather old code. A significant portion of the code has not been converted to windows yet. Still using some of the older FP 2.6 for DOS commands to build windows. Over time I am converting those.

However, my more immediate problem is that I want to upgrade from VFP 6 to 7. I have a testing development station with VFP 7 installed. It will not let me open the forms that have crystal ole objects because I do not have crystall installed.

All of our crystal templates are currently version 8.5. I am not ready to convert to a newer version of crystal yet, due to the change in RPT compatability.

I plan on installing crystal 8.5 onto my VFP 7 development station. I've read articles about compatability problems with using Crystal 8.5 with VFP 7. My only intention here is to use the VFP 7 station to identify and convert the remaining incompatible foxpro coding to the more compatible object oriented form. At this stage I'm not worried about Crystal 8.5 working correctly on the VFP 7 development station. I only need to register the classes so I can open the forms.

Comments Thoughts????
