Just simply tax each of our 35 million residents $1000. The problem is solved. Better give $2000 per person, as I am sure the State Government will know how to spend it. :)

Mark;

If you are not familiar with the Reagan years and what happened to California and then the United States, it is interesting. Reagan ran against Pat Brown for governor and complained that Brown’s 4 ½ billion dollar budget was a burden to the tax payers and excessive. However, when Reagan left office as governor, the budget was over 20 billion dollars. Just a bunch of zeros (in more ways than one).

Reagan as president more than doubled the national debt after promising to lower it. Clinton lowered the debt and we had a surplus which Bush, George W., depleted and ran the deficient back up.

I tell people the difference between democrats and republicans is simple. The democrats throw the dogs a bone and the republicans take it away. Our job is to survive. Come the revolution we will straighten everything out and do it right this time! Anyone for a monarchy this time? :)
