Ideally I would think you would want a nation to control its own policies and how it acts and reacts. However, that is not true in every case. In the case of Israel, and Palestine, they have proven they cannot resolve their differences. The will of both peoples is too strong so the problems will continue. The Israelis are antagonists and irritate the situation. If you look at a map of Israel and see what areas the Palestinians occupy you will have good insight into how large the problem really is.

How do you solve the problems in Israel? The people of Israel have to solve it and they do not want to live with each other. We cannot send in UN Peace Keepers (although we should have a long time ago) and sort out the issues. For an area so volatile I cannot understand why the UN did not step in years ago to keep people from killing each other.

Republicans hate Clinton but he made the attempt to resolve the issues between Israel and Palestine and had some degree of success. Bush wants no part in bring this issue to a positive closure for both parties. I do not think he has the interest or abilities to do so.
