>The problem I see with rationalizing we will attack Iraq to stop possible terrorism in the future from being felt in the United States is simple. This leaves an open door for any nation to attack any other nation on the basis of “what might happen” or the possibility of a perceived threat. There can be no end to this type of thinking and activity.

That door has always been open, and us attacking Iraq isn't going to change it.

>You cannot know what is in the mind or heart of any man so potentially everyone is the enemy. Those that do not agree with me are a threat and must be eradicated.

While you cannot read minds, you can certainly look at past behavior. Isn't Saddam's past behavior enough?

>I think we should engage in surgical attacks, which our military special forces is fully capable of doing. A few men in the right spot will eliminate a specific problem. Most important about all of this is to keep your mouth shut and not advertise what you are about. I am afraid that the world knows more about our military activities concerned with Iraq than the military personal that will be engaged in action.

I am slightly alarmed by this too. I don't want to know in advance what our military is going to do.

>We will attack Iraq, loose many men, kill many more civilians and few Iraq military personal, and Saddam Hussein will hide underground and plead for peace. He will be given peace and continue to rule.

We will not lose many men. Some civilians will regretably die. I think a lot of Iraqi military personnel will quit. They have no love for Saddam. And Saddam will be removed from power.

>How about allowing Saddam Hussein and all his administration and family and followers be allowed to move to another country and give up power in Iraq? Then they can plot from a new location and continue to pose a threat to the United States.

I am not in favor of Saddam going into exile, but if it happens, there isn't a lot he will be able to do to us.

>After attacking Iraq we will have more enemies then we have now. Perhaps we had better attack them before they attack us

Who? More people in the Middle East? More muslims? A lot of them are going to hate us anyway, no matter what we do. Some of them worhip Bin Laden. Enough said. They continue to believe the lies that are spread: that we are involved in a war against muslims. Never mind that we are working with muslims in Afghanistan, or the fact that many muslims live here peacefully.
