LOL!!! Breakfast only..... anytime is a good time. The cubans also would let the plantains get so black that white mold would be growing on them. First time I saw them I started to throw them out and got cused out in spanish by this guy.

They like to take them in that state and put lots of butter and brown sugar on them, roll them up in foil and bake them. (minus the skin of course) Comes out better than sweet potato. IMO.

Another dish...called Ropa Vieagha (spelling is not correct) I think the literal translation was "old clothes" was a beef dish that is out of this world. To die for!!! About the only thing I could not tolerate was the expresso. LOL!!! Just not man enough for that!
