Maybe MS is boycotting France? <g>

I would guess that it has something to do with export restrictions...

Section 4.2, paragraph 5, "...France does not permit the use of cryptographic products unless the algorithm has been registered with the French government..."

Not sure which component(s) VFP 8 is distributing that may or may not fit this.
