Hi John and Everyone

I've only had three cups of coffee so not quite awake yet but...

I have just come on this caption=expression problem in a VFP7 project I am converting. I have a label caption whose value is derived from a variable created at runtime and set before the form is loaded. In the form designer the caption expression in the properties window was simply =MyCharVar. This variable does not exist at design time. How does one change the caption to avoid the "Data Type Invalid...." error and still point to a variable created only at runtime?
