With prior versions to VFP 8, when an EXE was being run and a defined form was top level, I had some related problems like that. Since VFP 8, the front most window at startup is resolved and it seems to be much better than before. I don't know in your case, but I would be interesting to know if VFP 8 would take priority on that key prior to the desktop. I'd say that should be how the chain sequence should be applied.

Otherwise, maybe you can send us instructions on how to simulate that and I'd be happy to try it in VFP 8.
