If you did all that, I doubt that there was something with your installation. I would assume that your VFP install was ok. I would target to look for an external factor in regards to this. Such factor could be related to disk space, disk memory, viruses, any recent installation done in the last 24 hours (assuming all was working ok until the last 24 hours), etc.
