Hi,

Do you intend to make the encryption key/s available to individual clients so that they can access the tables outside your application ? If not then why not use a standard encryption key for all clients/tables and use our own logon process to determine access rights at startup.

If you DO want to allow them access to the key then I'd suggest an option in your application which would let them set their own key/s (using CRYPT_DECODE and CRYPT_ENCODE). The encryption key would then be used as a password to access relevent sections of the app (just test and trap for 'Not a table')
