>Sometime we need to send files to a customer via email if the files are large we compress them using Winzip the problem is most of our customers don't have a utility to uncompress them or can't use it. I can't create a self extracting Zip file because the ISP's won't send any emails which contain EXE files. My question is, is there a way to send a compressed file that can self extract it's self that is not an EXE file?

John,
I think this should work.
-Rename and set extension to a dummy one. ie: .dat
-When they receive they could save to disk change the extension back to .exe and execute.
Alternatively they could either download an evaluation version of winzip for limited time or use an XP installed machine.
