Hi Cetin

I have tried renaming the file but it just changes the file name not the extension e.g. file.dat.exe

We could supply them with a copy of Winzip but our customers are new to computers and would have problems using it. I need something where they can double click on the file an it self extracts.

John

>>Sometime we need to send files to a customer via email if the files are large we compress them using Winzip the problem is most of our customers don't have a utility to uncompress them or can't use it. I can't create a self extracting Zip file because the ISP's won't send any emails which contain EXE files. My question is, is there a way to send a compressed file that can self extract it's self that is not an EXE file?

>Alternatively they could either download an evaluation version of winzip for limited time or use an XP installed machine.
