I've had the same question myself ever since I first read about this "critical section" thing - how would I recognize a "critical section" in my code?

I hope someone elaborates further.

I have done a few varities of apps with "VFP inside" and have not used that Sys function. I'm just hoping to get inspired by some real-world examples or ideas. I am guessing that it might be useful if you had a MTDLL that needed to poll the serial port; but then again if you are polling the serial port you might as well have a .exe that does it all the time, so that is not a good example....
