There's the rub, Evan. The people asking for the demo believe - well I do, and feel sure that other do too - that it CANNOT hurt the product but rather that it can only help the product. It is probably the A-bomb in the marketing arsenal.
We all know that marketing is low on the scale of VFP objectives and we're trying to help MS and the VFP Team with this suggestion.

MikeS described how much work such a thing would/should take. Fine. It looked like a good part of the work described involved automated quad processors with manual work at the front and back.

This thread immediately went from "Hey, what about having a demo version" to "naw, that's too much work" with nary a discussion of what it means to have such a version and how it could be achieved (everything since has really been "see, that's LOTS of work".

Virtually everyone has said "I'd love a demo version" and the detractors have all immediately added a "but" right afterwards. Where does that lead us to?... mute acceptance of NO demo, as I see it.
