Sorry it's taken so long to reply. I'm traveling and it's difficult to keep on top of things.

I just created a file with a character field, a general field and a memo field. I used the APPEND GENERAL command to populate the general field with a BMP, and I added some text to the character and memo fields. I then copied to a fox2x-type file, and created an ODBC DSN--free table directory--and added the file to a version 9 report.

It printed the record as expected--all fields, including the general field.
