Under Windows NT Server, I found that if some users open a database file .DBF to be edited and the computer hangs suddenly, the file will be locked automatically by NT Server and can not be exclusively accessed by other users. This lead to fail in system backup or reindex processing to that file. I need to manually close the resource locking to that file at the NT Server. Is there any tool to unlock all files locking under a specified directory? I want to build the tool into my application to do some auto tasks like backup, reindex, etc., at midnight.
