Robert,
To avoid this problem you can map Access VarChar field to VFP memo field.
>I'm involved in a project that requires me to use VFP Remote Views to connect to MS Access 97 tables. The remote view is set up to allow the Access table to be updated. Everything is working as expected except that all updates sent to the Access table are padded with spaces to the full length of the VarChar field in the Access table.

>I've seen this same problem when using SQL as a data back-end, but it is eaily solved setting "ANSI Padding" feature off. Is there any way to solve this problem when using Access table as a data back-end?

>PS. I've just discovered that using SQL Pass-Through to update the table and problem goes away but I need to use remote views. Any help would be greatly appreciated?
