Hi Carmen

I have sent the control codes first and then sent the text file but my usual technique is to write the control codes and text to a text file and then send the text file to the printer using ???.

I do no know why the report writer did not recognize the custom form size. All I know is that I have not been able to make custom forms sizes work with Windows Printer drivers. I have read articles that suggest the problem is buggy printer drivers.

Does your clipper code actually use the custom form size or does it set the form size using control codes?

As far as the snow goes there are heaps and heaps of the stuff. I have not seen a winter like this since I was a kid.

It looks like you hand code the invoices rather than use the report writer as well? I'll keep trying. Thanks for the input. Any ideas as to why the report writer wouldn't recognize the custom form I created and assigned to the printer? I did create a custom form in the printer server section of XP and selected this form for the invoices in the report writer in VFP, but it still doesn't work. Yet in my old Clipper code running on the same XP machine, it works like a charm?????!!!!!
