The error event of the object doesn't trigger because the instantiation failed (so there is no object to trap the event). The error event or ON ERROR trap of the context in which CREATEOBJECT() was executed will be triggered.

As for attachments, you must add each attacment separately (i.e. you specify a filename, not a list of files).
