Say let us forget POS how about in terms of copies of software and not transactions and I charge maintainance on per incidence basis?

>You mentioned POS.
>
>Let's say there were 5 POS outlets and Head Office.
>
>If the POS outlets handled 100,000 transactions per month, you could "lease" the software at $.01 per transaction / month (for example).
>
>The client would get 5 copies of the POS software and maybe a "free" one for head office at $1,000 per month.
>
>If the client transaction volume doubled, the fee would be $2,000 per month, regardless of the number of additional software copies needed.
>
>Your POS software would be able to track transaction volumes.
>
>The "leasing" could have a maintenance fee built in; ie. you don't have to negotiate a separate agreement.
>
>>How would you charge such an app(s)?
>>
>>>>Thanks Gerry for your response. I guess I have used wrong words. I have a small app for a retail store already made, but this company want so many such copies (meeting on Wednesday) and a main copy for their H.O. Internet won't play much of a roll just emailing zips at the end of the day.
