Title:
CursorAdapters - Whats the big deal again?
I am about to start on a new VFP project which uses mainly native VFP data but also has to access (and eventually update) some tables stored in SQL Server.
I decided I had better look at the new CursorAdapters folks are talking about, and after some experimentation got them working against my remote data. However it was certainly more fiddly than setting up a remote view.
So far it seems that I can do all my SQL Server work just by using remote views.
In fact if I use remote views I get a visual representation of the view in the DBC which is very handy and helps to document whats going on.
I understand the big thing about CursorAdapters is that they can be made to work with a variety of datasources, but can somebody point out any reason I should be using them in my current circumstance.
