I have a program that create an index on a cursor. The index field is cldpart_num. Some of the records for the field are blank. This has worked for about 3.5 years, but now all of a sudden we are getting a "cannot update cursor" error and a "index tag not found" error.

Questions:
If an index is created multiple times can one of the errors above be generated?

Would the "index tag not found" message be related to some of the records having blanks? Note: the line of code used to create the index is INDEX ON cldpart_num TAG cldpartnum ADDITIVE

Where are the index files located?
