I would suggest you to change 'Courier New' font with printer specific font (those fonts have a little printer icon to the left) .
Lexmark 2390 has a lot of printer fonts (Courier, Gothic, Orator, Presentor, Prestige ..., with dimensions 5, 6, 7.5, 8.5, 10, 12, 15, 17.1, 20, 24 CPI)
To have those fonts in Report Designer font list , you need to install Lexmark 2390 printer driver and set printer as default printer.

>We are in the process of converting an application from Fox 2.6 DOS to VFP 7.0; and have encountered a problem with report printing to a Lexmark 2390 Plus dot matrix printer. A specific report takes 30 seconds to print one page under the DOS system, and takes 2 minutes and 20 seconds under the VFP version. We did create the .frx using the migration/conversion tool, but have removed all "bolding", and have used Courier New as the font. We use 10 point for the page headings, 7 point for the column headings, and 6 point for the detail lines. We need the smaller print because we are printing on 8 1/2 X 11 continuous form paper, and need to cram a lot on a single line.
