Thanks for the advice. I originally tried that but got thrown off by the vb and now that I relooked at it i realized that the part that was throwing me off was the actual cell i wanted to put the hyperlink in. Formula should be
oexcel.activesheet.Hyperlinks.Add(oexcel.ActiveSheet.range("A3"),"httP:://www.test.com","","","TEST")
