Hi Alan,

If your client has the Enterprise Manager with SQL 7, that tool should be able to connect and attach to the MSDE tables, and you should (then) be able to either build a DTS package that transfers the data, or write some SP's that select and re-insert the desired data.

If your version of MSDE is 2000, you might have to use the updated tools with SQL 2000, though...

>A client of mine is using VS6 (SP5 - enterprise edition), to try and extract some data from SQL-server7 (on a network) so that it can be used with MSDE (VFP front-end) on a standalone development machine. MSDE is installed. Can anyone tell me/him where to start? He has found VFP and Access options on an 'export to...' menu, but nothing to extract SQL-server compatible tables.
