Some more info since no one seems to have any ideas.

The import is done automatically within the application, there's no user interaction.

The access application selects fields from Foxpro tables using an sql statement.

openrecordset(Select table.field, table.field2 from)

Part of the sql statement specifies the path to the data
\\folder\folder\folder'[Fox Pro 2.6;]

The Fox Pro 2.6 part tells access which ISAM to use to read the data.

The Fox Pro 2.6 ISAM is no longer supported under Access2002.
