Somebody please tell me I'm not losing my mind...

I took an existing one table local view and added ".F. as selected" to the field list, then ran the query successfully. Trying to save the view gave me the SQL Statement Invalid error. It did this in both VFP 7 SP1 and VFP 8. Why would the query run correctly and then barf when saving?

I looked through both helpfiles to see if I was using the wrong format to create the new field, but neither helpfile seemed to mention generated fields in Select SQL statements.
