You are allowed to have a NULL FK that is constrained by a References constraint.

>Does the declarative RI allow for nulling the FK if the parent is deleted. For example, I want to keep invoices even after the client is deleted. So, if a client is delete I want to null client_id in the invoice file so that it won't break RI. I know I won't be able to leave the value there cause it wouldn't meet the FK constraint.
