But are you sure it's not possible. I am running VFP8 on WIN XP Pro and when I check the message properties I found a AttachementType property supporting different kinds of attachments: files, links to files, OLE objects, and embedded messages.
No I am not positively, absolutely, 100% without a doubt sure that it is not possible, but I everything I have seen on the subject leads me to believe that you cannot send HTML formatted messages using MAPI.
I did not say that you cannot send attachments using MAPI. Of course, you can and I have written plenty of code that uses MAPI to send attachments. But I have never found a way to use Simple MAPI to send HTML formatted e-mail messages.
I also found some sample VB code on MSDN in the CDO 1.2.1 folder ( who's MAPI based )
But I do not understand why you do not just use CdoEx.dll since you are running Win XP. You can very easily send HTML formatted e-mails using it. Just check out the SDK documentation in MSDN for CDO For Windows 2000. It all still applies to CdoEx.dll under Windows XP.
Did you try this ?
Nope < s >. Were you able to use it to send HTML formatted e-mail?
