We are using VFP7, and have tried not to use InstallShield. We have an inhouse installation application that works fine. I would hate to have to switch to Installshield just to get chm help into an application.

What I suspect is that Installshield, makes some kind of Registry entry or file association with one or more of the foxhhelp*.* files; or maybe even is installing some other files, like an OCX control. However, I can't find any documentation on it on MSDN or TechNet.

For what it's worth, the test machine OS is the original Win98 without any service packs, but with IE5.
