>IMHO, the posaition of MS is this, if you want the lower price of the upgrade you must stop using the previous and that is why the price for upgrade is lower. If you want to have full license for both versions, don't upgrade, buy the new version at its full price and you be licensed to use both versions. I see the upgrade avenue like trading in your car on a new one.I fyou trade in your current car on a new one then get the new one for less money but you can no longer drive the old car. However, you always have the choice of NOT trading in your current car and paying more for the new which would allow to drive either car.

Hi Jim - Yeah, personally I'm okay with whatever EULA comes along, I have enough budget to cover the full versions, if I need to buy them. However, since I'm a fed, this is taxpayer's money (yours, mine, and all other taxpayers in the US) I'm spending, not my own money directly, and I do try to be conscious of that, & I'm thrifty when I can be, legally.

And perhaps I over-reacted a little from the surprise of it, I will admit. I've cooled down and enlarged my budget to cover it, and I'll live with whatever happens.

Let me add: the higher-prices may actually help in the longetivity of the Fox at MS, if they are making serious bucks off the product. So there's an upside, perahps, too.
