Tracy,
That's a bummer. With an MSDN subscription, with the ID number and the name and a few other items you can get a login to the web site. This site lets you change things like your address, and what type of delivery and stuff you get. So, you would be able to fix a typo.

>There is only one concern (that I know of) with this scenario. One time I purchased through a 3rd party and when they entered my information they entered a typo and it was a real Pain in the you know what to get it straightened out! I didn't even realize it for some time and then I had to get the 3rd party that I purchased it from to fix it...
>I had an even worse scenario happen in the past also (not with MSDN though). I purchased my own personal copy of VFE and had it shipped to my office (I typically do this since I am not at home during the day) and somehow it got registered to the Company name that I had entered in the shipping address. So it looked like the company I was working for had their licenses as well as mine... I didn't realize that either until I tried to download the next update through the CSC. A quick call told me that it wasn't registered in my name! I had so many logins (for each version the company owned including my personal ones) that I never paid attention. I just started using the same login no matter where I was to make it simple. Big mistake on my part. Maybe it is just me? :o) I kept trying to get that one fixed but my company made such a stink (prove it over and over again they insisted!) that after bringing in charge card statements, etc I finally gave up and left that place of employment

>>Actually, when you buy the subscription/copy, they go onto the MS web site and register it in your name, and MS ships you the stuff. I guess they do allow for your to register it but that is their normal SOP.
