Ken, I noticed your presence here, and hope you don't mind a question on a related topic, that many of us are a little confused on:
According to the vfp8 EULA, an upgrade copy cannot now co-exist with previous versions. Okay, I will abide by this, and purchase "Full" copies for co-existence situations, as developers generally require co-existence for roll-out periods. I can live with this.
However, the question of whether this EULA for upgrades (or downgrades) will be *technically enforced* has stirred up debate in another thread "Rough Price Estimate" (which I started after confusion). As a gov't agency vfp license manager, this is something I'd really like to know, so I that can know how I should try and tackle enforcing the EULA. If it's technically enforced , my job is simple. If it's not, I really will have my work cut out, to keep my agency entirely legal regarding vfp8, and perhaps other MS products as well (.NET is another, e.g.).
Can you answer this (the technical enforcement issue on up/down-grades) once and for all, to end our speculations? I would greatly appreciate it.
