Since before version 8 the ToolTip text is limited to about 127 characters, you may be better off trying to emulate the ToolTip with a WAIT WINDOW. I tried it and the WAIT WINDOW will hold 254 characters. I tried it with four carriage returns so that it wasn't one long string. It's still not as good as the 4K limit for ToolTips in VFP 8.0, but it's better than 127!
