>>Don't mention it. I've got some code at the office that may help as well. I did a form that iterates through the server groups, database, tables, etc. If there's anything that I can help with, give a shout. I've been toying with the idea of re-writing some of it and putting it in the download section as a tool to help with doing repititive tasks.

Not really. It's pretty raw.

>The idea that I've been toying was to put together something like the VS.NET's "Server Explorer" for using within VFP. I've always thought that that would be really useful. Let's put that together?? :)

I don't know that it be very practical. The main requirement is that SQLDMO be installed. The only boxes that I've seen that have it have the Enterprise Manager installed. I know that it installs with both SQL Server Personal and Enterprise. I'd guess that it (SQLDMO) might install with VS.NET (that would explain the Server Explorer). Don't know for sure if it installs with MSDE simply because I've always used the SQL Server Personal edition. Further, I've never bothered to check where it gets installed. So the utility might be limited by other factors.

I've got no problem posting the code as an FAQ and download. Then folks could use it as they see fit. One of the things that I've done with it is create update triggers that add records to an archive table on almost all our tables. Normally, this sort of task would take a long time to do manually. However, it took just a matter of seconds to do using the tool I developed and SQLDMO.

Hope so.
