Based on the required needs, if only to be used as is from a specific portion of code, you may use the approach proposed by Cindy. So, you set it before and reset it after. Otherwise, you may apply a global settings either at the VFP level or at the top of your application. I looked at the Tools/Options and was not able to find a setting for SET EXACT at that level. One thing for sure, you can put it in CONFIG.FPW.
