I think we did it for two main reasons:
- we have not enough money for expansive equipment (so we have to use better our own brain)
- we have not so many different temptations like in the US, so for many people (like me) work is the best fun :)

One of the worse thing in my country - vodka. I know many talented people who lost they brain because of alcohol (it is impossible to work for nothing - our families want to eat and we do not see any perspectives in the future - the situation is getting worse day after day -(.
