Sergey,

Thanks for the response, but what I meant to say is that these usual techniques do not work.

With the VFP window maximized, the middle button on the top right looks like it is in the maximized state (2 little overlapping squares). When I click on it, instead of changing to a single "normal" square with heavy top line and the window becoming sizable (like a normal window), the entire window minimizes down to the taskbar. If I right click on the now minimized window, "Restore" is disabled and only "Move", "Size", Minimize and Maximize are offered. Selecting Size or Move does not do anything to the VFP window, but changes the pointer to a 4 arrow diamond / compass rose type shape. Minimize doesn't do anything because the window is already minimized, and Maximize reverts it to maximized.

None of the other windows/ programs on my machine have this problem. The middle button immediately establishes a sizeable window. When minimized, they offer a "restore" option when right clicked.

Right clicking on the shortcut that runs VFP offers no useful properties. It is as if some special window setting has been established for this program, and this program only.

>You can resize window when it is in "Normal" (not in maximized or minimized) state. To switch to normal state click on the button in right hand top corner between maximized and minimized buttons or click on icon in the left hand top corner and select "Restore"
