What ACTUALLY happened was that the QUICK wait window never timed out!!! I've not seen this happen anywhere, and the only reason I noticed it is because I recently started running a "batch" process directly on the server. In that batch process there are many WAIT WINDOW TIMEOUT ... statements, and the batch was just pausing at each--waiting for a keystroke. It works fine in VFP7 and VFP8. Don't have VFP6 around to test. Maybe it's time to upgrade? {g}
