Thanks for the comments thus far, but they haven't shed any light on this problem (which I am beginning to think must be specific to the box we are running on). We just did some additional testing and the same/similar problem seems to exist using INKEY() timeouts as well as the timer class (used on a form). So, it appears this is related to any "timed" event used... Very strange.

Just thought I'd post this additional information in case it might trigger some ideas...
